At gutterwise we take installation of gutters very seriously indeed. All gutters are accurately run to a fall of 1:600 and all brackets are double fixed with stainless steel screws.

This is the area where Gutterwise really comes into its own. Our gutters are available in Half-Round, Square, Ogee, Sovereign or Deepflow profiles. There is also a choice of colours, and we can advise you on the functional and aesthetical properties during the survey. Our installations are extremely accurate and fully water-tested before completion.

"The guttering system on your property performs the important role of taking rainwater safely away from your property and disposing of it into the relevant soakaway or drain. In order to do this the guttering must be well thought out and accurately installed."

All our installations conform to BS EN 12056-3:2000.

Although in some cases it is acceptible to have the gutters laid level, at Gutterwise we prefer to use a fall of 1:600 due to the greatly improved performance of such a system.

In order to achieve this accurately we use a device called a water level, consisting of a length of hose with two clear vials on each end. This is filled up with water and, as water will always find its own level, can be used over large distances and can even be used round corners. This makes it accurate to an incredible +/- 1mm in 10m  (+/- 0.0001%).

We fix all brackets using two 25mm stainless steel screws which will never rust (unlike galvanised screws), as specified in BS EN 12056-3:2000. We also lubricate all joints with silicone lubricant to minimise that annoying "ticking" sound you get on hot summers days due to thermal movement.

Downpipes are fixed with 38mm stainless steel screws using hidden fixing brackets (where you can't see the screws) for a superior appearance. (Black round downpipes only.)

All guttering is fully water tested before completion.
